From the earliest age, I can remember being enraptured by gardens and gardening.
My grandparents had a large plot and it was always bursting with different colours, scents, and textures, that would change distinctly from season to season.
The calmness, serenity, and feeling of overall well-being I took from that experience is one that has stuck with me for a lifetime.
When it was time to leave school, there was only one career that I had in mind - I wanted everyone to share in that feeling that I had enjoyed that meant so much to me.
As soon as I was old enough, I was apprenticed and set about learning all of the skills required to run a successful garden. From planning, to layouts, shapes, colours, shading, layering, I gleaned all that it was possible to glean. When I felt that I had a solid foundation and a decent amount of experience under my belt, I set up on my own and have never looked back.
That was 27 years ago and I still love my work every bit as much today as much as I did back then, if not more so.
